Description

Update: The Below review was for iTunes version 10.3.
Apple's sleek and elegant media player has been a favorite among many users for a long time. It is replete with brilliant features and is quite a remarkable product. A well-designed interface offers shortcuts for accessing all the essential features arranged beautifully. The latest iTunes version 10.3 introduces features such as automatic downloads which will place newly purchased iTunes music, iBooks, or apps to your Mac and iOS device. Additionally the users are provided with the ability to re-download previous iTunes purchases, as well as shop for iBooks books via iTunes on your Mac. Moreover the iTunes 10.3 comes in the beta Cloud version, which supposedly allows iTunes to automatically download new music, apps, and book purchases to all of your devices seamlessly.(Currently these services are not available in India)
With an endless list of online features from thousands of applications available online to one of the best online music services, and a great podcasting tool and useful network sharing feature, iTunes serves its users well.
File format support is where iTunes may not please many users. It reads, writes and converts MP3, AIFF, WAV, MPEG-4, AAC and Apple Lossless. We also feel that iTunes does not have many things in store for third party products and consumers apart from its own services to its customers.
Multiple tagging option is also quite simple and easy to use. Backing up media files by burning them to CD/DVD is a nice option as well. And we love the sharing media over network feature that worked like a charm.
